Started in 1910. THE KENYA YMCA CENTRAL BRANCH The Branch is located at the YMCA National Secretariat at the heart of Nairobi town. Surrounded by many universities and colleges the Branch seeks to empower a dynamic communities of young talented and gifted youth. Our major focus is on our community based programs that are tailor made to add up to the professional paths of all the college and university students. The branch also seeks to engage the communities around such as Kangemi and Kawangware to help empower the local community and the disadvantaged groups. Our major charity work is community service which include visitation to communities or social groups that have special needs and require special attention, such as, children homes, street families, homes for the aged, prisons, correction homes, rescue homes, People living with disabilities among others.
